CM Punk parted ways with AEW last year following an altercation with Jack Perry that took place backstage at the All In pay-per-view. Tony Khan announced that CM Punk had been fired due to the altercation and this week on Dynamite, The Young Bucks aired security footage which showed CM Punk confronting Jack Perry backstage before shoving him then trying to choke him.
The Young Bucks turned the backstage footage reveal into a storyline when they blamed the backstage footage on FTR who defeated The Young Bucks at All In.
After AEW aired the footage CM Punk took to Instagram to post a photo of George W. Bush standing in front of a “Mission Accomplished” banner.
The Young Bucks will face FTR in a match for the vacant AEW World Tag Team Titles at the Dynasty pay-per-view on April 21. Stay tuned for updates.
