It’s been an interesting week for the world of professional wrestling, as NXT’s go-home show for the WarGames pay-per-view aired on Wednesday night, and it seems that at least one name caught the attention of former WWE Champion CM Punk.
Punk recently took to Twitter to praise Pat McAfee, and he noted that in his opinion McAfee cuts the best promos on the show.
“A lot of it has to do with circumstance, but everyone else on the show(s) should feel embarrassment, and subsequently USE said feeling to better themselves, at the fact that @PatMcAfeeShow is a better promo than everyone on the show(s).”

CM Punk followed up by responding to a fan tweet, and he continued to praise Pat McAfee by calling him the best thing on the show not named Rhea Rhipley.
There’s zero reason for him to fully commit to wrestling. He’s already the best thing on this show not named @RheaRipley_WWE

When another fan pointed out that it seems like Pat hasn’t been trained to cut promos a certain way, Punk agreed.
Correct. Like I said…circumstances.

When asked if he watches NXT, he noted that he doesn’t watch regularly, but needed something to watch while he was on the treadmill.
Not always. Need stuff to watch while I’m doing treadmill work.
