Even though CM Punk walked away from wrestling five years ago, people still constantly talk about him possibly returning.
There was talk of AEW making him an offer a few months ago, but Punk has shown very little interest in returning to the ring.
Nonetheless, AEW is forging ahead without CM Punk, and when he was asked if he watches All Elite Wrestling during an interview with WGN News, he was very blunt with his response.
“I do not. I don’t watch wrestling.”
When asked about his thoughts on AEW’s success so far, the former WWE Champion said that he thinks it’s great.
“I think it’s great. Yeah, I wish these guys nothing but success. You know, if they’re successful, it will force WWE to be more creative and it’s always better when there’s not just one place to work. You know, it’s better for the wrestlers, it’s better for the fans. I think competition drives industry, so if there’s only one place in town to work, I think the creatives will be lazy. So, hopefully both companies will push each other and make the product better for the fans.”
