CM Punk recently returned to the world of professional wrestling when he made his debut on AEW Rampage, and everyone has been talking about his return.
Aside from his 7 year hiatus CM Punk spent many years performing as a wrestler on television, and it’s clear that his fans missed him. Unfortunately for Punk his reputation has sometimes shifted more toward the negative end of the spectrum, and he recently addressed the topic of his reputation with Wrestling Inc.
“I was on television twice a week, 52 weeks a year for eight, nine, ten years? So I get that all the time,” Punk said. “And there’s this vicious rumor that I’m hard to deal with and I’m mean.
I think it’s because I played a bad guy on wrestling television for so long, that people confuse the two. And yeah, there’s instances where I’m like ‘man I really did my job.’ And then there’s instances where I’m like ‘come on man. I’m out with my wife. Let me just eat.’”
CM Punk has been confirmed for this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, and he will take on Darby Allin at the All Out pay-per-view on Sunday, September 5.
