CM Punk walked away from the professional wrestling business in 2014, but he recently got the world talking when he made his return during the second episode of AEW Rampage from the United Center.
With CM Punk returning to the ring at All Out fans have wondered if his wife AJ Lee could make a return at some point in the future, but during an interview with The New York Post Punk explained why a return may be unlikely for the former Divas Champion.
“I just want to say, no. Just because [of] her neck. The reason she stopped wrestling is because of her neck. She’s got a bad neck, you know. I wouldn’t want her to jeopardize [her] health and neither would she, so we’ll put an end to that rumor right now.”
AJ Lee last competed on the March 30, 2015 episode of Monday Night Raw when she teamed with Paige and Naomi to take on The Bella Twins and Natalya.
CM Punk will return to the ring when he faces Darby Allin at the All Out pay-per-view on Sunday, September 5. Stay tuned for updates as they become available.
