CM Punk is no longer an active wrestler, but during his time as a competitor his promos definitely helped him get noticed.
Today #PipeBomb is trending on Twitter because fans are celebrating the 9 year anniversary of Punk’s infamous pipe bomb promo.
The former WWE Champion recently decided to weigh in on the topic of promos, and he named Dusty Rhodes’ hard times promo, AJ Lee’s pipe bombshell promo, and Steve Austin’s Austin 3:16 promo as three of the best.

All it takes is one quick look at Twitter to see that Punk’s pipe bomb promo still resonates with fans today.
At this point it remains to be seen if he’ll ever cut another promo in WWE, but his legacy on the mic clearly lives on.
