The annual Royal Rumble pay-per-view is one of the most anticipated events of the year, and the big show is less than two weeks away. It was recently reported that WWE is considering using an unexpected forbidden door entrant for the men’s Royal Rumble match, and recently there’s been a lot of speculation regarding who it could be.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer recently took to Twitter to comment on the rumors, and he noted that Cody Rhodes and former AEW World Champion Jon Moxley are not expected to be in the Royal Rumble.
Meltzer received an interesting response from CM Punk who replied with the following: “Working on my calendar, am I in the rumble?”
Cody Rhodes has reportedly been working without a contract recently, but Cody is the current TNT Champion, and he’s expected to be on Dynamite this week.
It’s also been announced that Jon Moxley will be returning to TV during this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, and CM Punk will be in action when he faces off against Pinnacle member Shawn Spears in singles competition. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
