CM Punk kicked off Monday Night Raw this week, and he crossed paths with Jey Uso and Sami Zayn as he was walking toward Gorilla position. Punk shook hands with Jey and Sami then he made his way out into the arena.
The former WWE Champion said that last time he appeared on Raw he told the fans he wasn’t sure what the future holds for him, but now he knows exactly where he’s going. CM Punk said that he came back to take care of a little personal business for his friend Paul Heyman.
Punk stood in the corner then told the fans that he knows what the future holds, and he pointed toward to corner of the arena as if he was pointing toward a WrestleMania sign. The Second City Saint said there are different ways to get to WrestleMania. Perhaps it’s the Royal Rumble, or Elimination Chamber, but the good news is he has a favor or two in his pocket to get to where he needs to go.
Seth Rollins’ music hit and The Visionary made his entrance. CM Punk immediately looked annoyed. Rollins stood in the corner and stared at Punk in the opposite corner while the fans sang Seth’s song. The fans then started to chant for CM Punk.
The Visionary told CM Punk that he’s been thinking a lot, and he should have knocked CM Punk out the day he returned. Rollins said over the last year a lot of things have gotten in the way, and last time he saw Punk he almost took his shot, but he had pity for Punk because he had just finished his feud with Drew McIntyre. Seth then acknowledged that it was a mistake, and he realized that after he saw Punk stand tall with The Bloodline.
Seth then took off his jacket as he told Punk that there’s nothing in the way anymore, and he’s got a feeling that tonight is the night he knocks CM Punk out.
Punk responded as he told Rollins that he doesn’t listen well because he just said he’s putting personal stuff aside. He said Rollins is no longer a champ, so he doesn’t have what he wants, and he’s not in his future. Punk mocked Seth when he said, “You’ve been thinking about me for six months? I don’t think about you at all.”
The Second City Saint followed up as he said he’s got things to do in this business, so he wants Rollins to stay out of his business. Rollins said “This is my business!”
Seth then shoved CM Punk and they started to brawl before Jey Uso and Sami Zayn separated them. Jey talked CM Punk into leaving the ring as Seth shouted at Punk from inside. Adam Pearce made his way out then Rollins grabbed a mic and taunted CM Punk who ran back down to the ring. Seth started stomping CM Punk as WWE officials pulled him out of the ring.
Rollins told Jey Uso to run along to Roman. Sami got upset as he got in Seth’s face and told him he can’t talk to Jey Uso that way. Rollins said, “Jey’s family, what’s your excuse?” The fans chanted “Sami Uso.”
Seth got heated as he said that he’s known Sami for years, and they’re friends too, but Sami stabbed him in the back when he teamed with CM Punk. Sami said he didn’t want to team with Punk, he wanted to team with Rollins. However, Rollins said no when he asked. Sami explained that he wouldn’t have had to team with CM Punk if Seth Rollins wasn’t so stubborn.
The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion responded and told Sami that he wanted him to help the monster Roman Reigns. Sami got a big response from the crowd when he told Sami that he created the monster ten years ago when he put a chair in his back. Rollins told him to look in the mirror because he did the same thing, and he doesn’t blame him for it.
Rollins said that CM Punk and Roman Reigns haven’t changed. Sami is just gullible, and right now he’s being really stupid. Zayn challenged Rollins to a match on Raw. Seth then agreed to the match and walked out.
