CM Punk and Seth Rollins have been feuding ever since Punk returned to WWE the tension between the two Superstars reached a fever pitch heading into the Monday Night Raw premiere on Netflix. Punk vs. Rollins was being advertised a match that was ten years in the making and they finally clashed in the main event.
Seth Rollins entered first followed by CM Punk. After the bell rang Punk and Rollins stared one another down as the fans chanted “holy s***.” The action quickly spilled to the outside as Seth Rollins cleared off the announce table. Punk sent Rollins over the barricade and they briefly brawled in the crowd. The referee argued with them as he tried to get the match back in the ring.
Back in the ring CM Punk connected with a boot to Seth Rollins’ face then he hit Rollins with a swinging neckbreaker off the top rope. Later in the match Punk connected with two running high knees in the corner followed by another swinging neckbreaker. He then called for the GTS, but Rollins rolled out of the ring.
Punk got Rollins back in the ring and he went for a crossbody off the top. Rollins managed to catch Punk, roll through and then pick Punk up on his shoulders. Seth Rollins connected with the GTS on CM Punk and Punk rolled out of the ring as he landed.
Rollins threw Punk back in the ring, but as Rollins was getting back in CM Punk hit him with the Stomp. The Visionary kicked out at two. Punk tried for the GTS again, but Rollins blocked it then threw Punk up on his shoulder as he hit CM Punk with the GTS for the second time only for Punk to kick out at two.
They fought outside and they both ended up on the announce table. Seth Rollins hit CM Punk with the Pedigree on the announce table then rolled him into the ring and hit the Pedigree again, but Punk kicked out.
CM Punk and Seth Rollins exchanged strikes as they tried to gain the upper hand. Punk kicked Rollins in the head and went for a running high knee in the corner. However, Seth reversed it into a buckle bomb and followed up with the Stomp. CM Punk got his foot on the ropes to break the count.
Seth Rollins picked CM Punk up and put him on the top rope in the corner. Punk knocked him off the top, but Seth ran back up and hit a superplex. Punk rolled it through into the GTS. He connected with the move and Rollins fell onto the ropes, then fell onto CM Punk’s shoulders as Punk was on his knees in the middle of the ring. CM Punk picked Rollins up again and hit the GTS to pick up the victory.
