For the last few months the wrestling world has been talking a lot about CM Punk’s physical altercation with The Elite following the All Out pay-per-view back in September. Punk hasn’t appeared on AEW programming since All Out, but he did recently returned to CFFC to do commentary.
During CFFC 115 Punk’s co-commentators joked that next year CM Punk could be signed to Fury Pro Wrestling. Punk responded by cracking a joke about the locker room brawl when he said, “Oh I’m bad news, you don’t want me in the locker room.”
One of the commentators then joked that Punk could “bust up the whole organization,” before saying, “don’t let him do any press conferences.
Following the backstage altercation involving CM Punk, Ace Steel and The Elite several names were suspended from AEW. It’s been confirmed that The Elite will be returning this weekend at Full Gear, but there are still a lot of questions regarding CM Punk’s status.
It’s been reported that CM Punk is not expected to return to AEW and that the company is in talks to buy out his contract. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
