Earlier this year Lana, real name CJ Perry, was released from her WWE contract, but recently she’s teased that should be returning to the world of professional wrestling.
The former WWE Superstar recently participated in a virtual signing with East Coast Autograph Auctions, and during the event she noted that she owns the Lana name.
“I own that. Owning ‘Lana’ is like owning the name ‘Mike.’ You can’t. In my contract, they own Rusev because it’s so specific, but they don’t own Lana because you can’t.”
While talking about what name she could possibly use in the future she indicated that she wants to be known as Lana when said, “I would rather come out as Lana because at the end of the day, I would rather just not come out with my real name.”
Last week on AEW Dynamite Miro defended the TNT Championship against Sammy Guevara, and in the end it was Sammy who walked out with the gold. CJ Perry accused Sammy of cheating to win the title, and when she was asked about possibly joining AEW she had the following response:
“Well, I’m gonna tell you, stay tuned. I can’t give everything away. I can’t give all the hot tea right now.”
