The WWE brand split will be returning soon and Chris Jericho broke character to do a quick interview with WWE explaining why a whole new world will be opening up for the WWE roster soon.
Jericho says it’s true that the WWE stars really don’t know which brand they will be drafted to until the night of the draft. He says he has no idea which brand he’ll end up on and neither does anyone else.
Chris Jericho knows a thing or two about the WWE draft as he’s been through it before, but this time it’s different. This time around SmackDown will be going live on Tuesday nights and Chris talked about how SmackDown going live really gives the two brands an even playing field.
“Even though the roster was really strong, maybe even better than Raw, you still always had that live element of Raw. SmackDown was taped so there was always kind of a net, whereas Raw is live without a net. Now that SmackDown’s going live, to me I think it really gives it a chance for a the two brands to be even. With the split you’re going to have to give new guys, guys in the middle, guys on top a chance to really get to the next level.”
