On Sunday night the WrestleMania Backlash pay-per-view aired live, and Damian Priest faced off against The Miz in a Lumberjack Match. This particular match had an interesting twist, as WWE was promoting Zack Snyder’s “Army of the Dead” so the lumberjacks ended up being zombies.
Damian Priest managed to defeat The Miz and escape, but both Miz and John Morrison were devoured by the zombies before the segment came to an end.
The wrestling community has been criticizing WWE’s use of zombies at the pay-per-view, and Chris Jericho reacted to the segment when he posted the following on Twitter:
“Zombies…ZOMBIES? Wow that just set wrestling back 30 years.”
