When All Elite Wrestling was first announced in January of 2019, Chris Jericho made a big impact when he announced that he had signed a contract with the company.
Jericho went on to become the first ever AEW World Champion, and he’s been one of the company’s top stars since its inception.
Chris Jericho is far from the only former WWE star who has jumped ship to AEW, and during an episode of Talk Is Jericho, featuring Luther, he revealed which former WWE stars he brought to the company.
“I brought in five guys here: [Jon] Moxley, Dean Malenko, Matt Hardy, Jake Hager and you. That’s it. That’s a pretty good f**** track record. It’s not like, ‘oh here’s so and so that’s been on TV once and just sits backstage and eats catering.’ That’s not what you would want or I would want.”
Certainly it seems that Chris Jericho made some good picks, as most of the names he mentioned have gone on to find success in AEW.
