CM Punk is without a doubt one of the most controversial figures in all of professional wrestling despite the fact that he hasn’t wrestled a match in over 4 years.
But nevertheless Punk is still a hot topic in the wrestling community and Chris Jericho recently shared an interesting story about the former WWE Champion on his cruise.
During an episode of Talk Is Jericho that was recorded on the cruise and included Cody Rhodes as well as The Elite, Jericho asked Cody if he remembered that “weird locker room meeting” where CM Punk said he was the locker room leader.
Cody responded by saying he tried not to name names, but Jericho broke the ice.
“I’ll say it because it’s my cruise. [Punk] said, ‘As the locker room leader…’ You don’t lead me!” Jericho responded.
Cody went on to say that while some people saw Punk as a locker room leader, Booker T didn’t respond well to Punk’s comment.
“It worked on a certain demo of the locker room,” said Cody. “But there was one meeting where Booker T was in the room and Punk hit the ‘As the locker room leader, I’m telling all of you guys to pick up your trash’ and Booker literally threw his trash on the floor.”
Cody then went on to say that Kane is an actual locker room leader, and Jericho said that if Kane told him to pick up his trash he would do it, but if Punk told him to do it then he wouldn’t.
