Fans haven’t seen Chris Jericho wrestle in a WWE ring since last summer, but he did make a quick appearance on the Raw 25th anniversary show. Fans are hoping to see Jericho return to WWE at some point, but we shouldn’t expect to see Jericho on WrestleMania Sunday, as he’s booked for a gig with Fozzy in New Hampshire, and the venue is promoting that he’ll be watching WrestleMania with the fans that day.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it looks unlikely that Jericho will return to WWE before the end of summer. Although it’s possible for him to come back for a short run after WrestleMania that would see him work through June, but it’s also possible that he could work the New Japan Dominion event in June.
Chris Jericho is currently booked to tour Europe with his band Fozzy in July and through mid-August.
Ronda Rousey signed her WWE contract at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, and she appeared on Raw the next night.
It looks like Ronda is being set up for a mixed tag team match which will see her team with Kurt Angle to take on Stephanie McMahon and Triple H at WrestleMania 34.
During a recent interview with UPI, WWE Hall of Fame DDP was asked about Ronda’s future, and he believes that she’s going to put the work in when it comes to her WWE career.
“I think she’ll put the work in. She’ll have to. Because it’s completely different from UFC. I think Ronda brings a lot. She really put women’s sports at the top of the list. She’s the main event. If you look back…there is no way there is ever going to be women’s fighting in UFC. She had a whole different vision. Not too many years after that she was headlining the main event. It really put her in a huge spot. And she had a great career. And I’m sure she’s pretty much moved on from that and she’s on to the next one…Now is it going to happen right away? Is she going to go out there and be unbelievable? That will remain to be seen. But I think she’s going to hold her own…”
