A few weeks ago when AJ Styles had his big debut on Raw he defeated Chris Jericho. Jericho then challenged him to a rematch and the match took place on this week’s episode of SmackDown. Chris Jericho was able defeat AJ Styles after putting him down with the Codebreaker.
Following the match a fan caught Jericho’s attention on Twitter when he accused him of burying younger talent. Chris Jericho responded accordingly and you can see what he had to say below.
This person seems to forget that they’re talking to the guy that’s already lost a match to AJ Styles. Not to mention in recent years Jericho has taken losses to names like Bray Wyatt, Fandango, Ryback, Curtis Axel, Kevin Owens and the list goes on and on. Hell, most of what Chris Jericho does nowadays is put over younger talent, and he does it well.
AJ Styles and Chris Jericho are 1-1 so really, the important part is what happens next anyway. But in this case it seems appropriate to say, damned if you put someone over, damned if you don’t.
