Last week on AEW Dynamite The Inner Circle and The Pinnacle faced off in the highly anticipated Blood & Guts match, and the match came to a conclusion when Sammy Guevara surrendered on behalf of The Inner Circle.
After The Inner Circle surrendered MJF pushed Chris Jericho off the top of the cage, and he fell down to the entrance ramp below on to some cardboard which broke his fall.
This week Chris Jericho showed up on AEW Dynamite wearing a brace on his arm, and it was reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Jericho suffered a legitimate elbow injury during the Blood & Guts match.
Jericho reportedly suffered the injury when he fell off the cage. There’s speculation that he’s dealing with an elbow fracture, but the severity of the injury has not been confirmed, and it’s not known if he will end up missing time in the ring.
This week Jericho did not compete on Dynamite, but he did appear in a segment which saw The Inner Circle interrupt The Pinnacle’s celebration by giving them a bubbly bath.
The Inner Circle and The Pinnacle are expected to face off in a Stadium Stampede match at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view later this month. Stay tuned for updates.
