AEW Dynamite and NXT have been going head to head on Wednesday nights for over a year now, and for the vast majority of their runs AEW has come out on top in terms of viewership.
However, last week NXT on USA Network beat out AEW Dynamite on TNT with 712,000 viewers compared to the 710,000 viewers that tuned in to AEW.
Chris Jericho commented on a tweet about the viewership numbers and noted that it’s all about the demographic when he posted the following:
“It’s all about the Demo daddy. #wewinagain”
AEW Dynamite ranked at #7 in the Cable Top 150 for the 18-49 demographic, while NXT ranked #25 according to ShowBuzzDaily.
This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite will be the Winter Is Coming special which features Jon Moxley defending the AEW World Championship against Kenny Omega. Wednesday’s episode of NXT will be the go-home show for the NXT War Games PPV on Sunday.
Stay tuned for updates.
