Chris Jericho Puts Over Roman Reigns, Comments On Enzo Amore Joining 205 Live

This week, Chris Jericho seems to be everywhere as he is on the road promoting his excellent new memoir No Is A Four-Letter Word: How I Failed Spelling But Succeeded In Life. Released in the United States on Tuesday, No is full of the entertaining Jericho anecdotes that his last three books were acclaimed for. It also features a foreword by KISS frontman Paul Stanley. In the course of promoting No anywhere and everywhere, Jericho is doing a lot of interviews and in the process is being asked a lot of interesting questions.

Enzo Amore recently made his debut on WWE 205 Live, and during a recent chat with Busted Open Radio, Jericho shared his thoughts on why Enzo joining 205 Live was the right move.

“He’s one of those guys that personality-wise, he’s very bulletproof because he’s so over-the-top and he’s got such a good rap. But where else is he gonna go in the headlining position, in the heavyweight division on RAW? I think it was a great move [bringing him to 205 Live] because I don’t know what else you would do with him if you didn’t stick him in there unless he was just gonna be a manager or a commentator…He fits that vibe size-wise and more importantly he’s gonna bring eyeballs and attention, and people will actually pay attention to the matches that he’s in.”

Chris Jericho also praised Roman Reigns in a big way by saying that he might be the best wrestler on the current WWE roster, per Sports Illustrated’s Extra Mustard blog:

“Obviously there comes a point where you want to steer people in the right direction. For whatever reason it’s the cool thing to boo Roman Reigns, just as it was the cool thing to boo John Cena, just as it was the cool thing to boo The Rock. But guess what? Those guys are so good that if you really are a wrestling fan…and Roman Reigns might be the best wrestler in the company. And I’m telling you that because if people are interested in what you’re doing whether they’re booing or whether they’re cheering, they’re still going to pay money to see you.”
