Ronda Rousey is now a WWE Superstar, and at WrestleMania 34 she’ll be teaming up with Kurt Angle to take on Stephanie McMahon and Triple H.
Rousey’s in-ring debut with WWE has been years in the making, as she got physical with Triple H and Stephanie at WrestleMania 31, and this year fans will finally be seeing the payoff.
It’s not often that wrestlers make their in-ring debut at WrestleMania, and it’s safe to say that there will be a lot of eyes on Ronda Rousey when the Show of Shows airs in a few weeks.
Chris Jericho knows a thing or two about working big matches at WrestleMania, and during a recent interview with Chael Sonnen, Jericho shared his thoughts on Rousey’s match.
The former WWE Champion said that he believes she’ll be fine, and that her match just needs one or two good spots to get people to pop.
“Here’s your Brock vs. Roman, here’s your Angle & Ronda vs. Triple H & Stephanie. They can put together the match any way they want. All they have to do is just put it together so she has one or two spots that really pop and mean something. The rest is all dog and pony show, show business. A) She’s an athlete, B) She’s a wrestling fan, and C) she wants to do this. She’s going to be fine.”
There’s a lot of pressure on Ronda Rousey to deliver with her in-ring debut, so here’s to hoping that she surprises everyone and exceeds all expecatations on Sunday, April 8.
