CM Punk hasn’t appeared on AEW programming since the All Out pay-per-view in September of 2022, but his status with the company has been a hot topic recently. Punk recently posted an Instagram story where he went off on Jon Moxley, Tony Khan and Chris Jericho, but it was quickly deleted.
Recently it was reported that CM Punk was in talks to reconcile with AEW, and both sides had agreed to a reconciliation in principle. However, the Instagram story made the situation worse and now his status with All Elite Wrestling is unknown.
Chris Jericho addressed the CM Punk situation on the Mark Madden Show, and when Madden said that Jericho probably isn’t on CM Punk’s Christmas card list he confirmed that he’s not.
“I’m not. But I wasn’t on Scott Hall’s Christmas card list or I wasn’t on Eric Bischoff’s Christmas card list. You don’t have to be best friends to co-exist. To me, that’s not really my wheelhouse. I’m not in charge of that. I’m sure there will be some answers to that pretty quickly, I would assume, either way. To us, AEW is going to thrive and survive with or without him. We’ll see what happens.”
