Back in January of 2019 Chris Jericho shocked the world when he signed a contract with All Elite Wrestling, and since then he’s been one of the company’s top stars.
Jericho shocked the world once again when it was recently announced that he would be appearing on Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Sessions. During the episode Jericho discussed the topic of competition between AEW and WWE, and he noted that he’s focused on creating more choices for wrestling fans.
“I didn’t think there would be another national promotion again that could really…I don’t want to say competition, because we’re not in competition.
Obviously, by proxy, we’re thrown into that, but we’re worried about our own stuff and doing things differently and doing things a different way to draw the fanbase to create more of the choices that we had during the Monday Night Wars. We haven’t had those choices in a while and now we do and people latched on to it.”
AEW Dynamite has been going head to head with NXT since the show debuted in October of 2019, but it was recently announced that NXT will be moving to Tuesday nights starting this week.
