Chris Jericho has had some big feuds throughout the course of his career and during his time in WWE he clashed with Triple H many times. At the Fully Loaded pay-per-view in 2002 the two rivals faced off in a Last Man Standing match, but things didn’t go according to plan.
During a recent episode of Talk Is Jericho, the current ROH World Champion explained that the original finish was supposed to be a belly to back suplex through the Spanish announce table. However, the table was taken out before Triple H and Jericho got the change to use it for their match.
“There was a big sign in Gorilla position that said: Stay away from the Spanish announce table.’ The match before us was Chyna versus Perry Saturn, and guess what Chyna did not do? She did not stay away. They hit this table and collapsed it and something in my head makes me think she might have done that on purpose because it was her ex-boyfriend that was in the next match. Maybe, I don’t know.”
According to Jericho he and Triple H only had five minutes to come up with a new finish for their match and they ended up falling from a dasher board to the other announce table. In the end it was Triple H who picked up the win over Jericho.
