Chris Jericho is never one to sit around and coast on his legacy. He’s constantly finding ways to reinvent himself, and he recently added a new chapter to his career when he battled Kenny Omega at Wrestle Kingdom 12 last week.
Jericho’s feud with Omega seems to be over for now, but that doesn’t mean he’s done with New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Following his match with Kenny Omega at Wrestle Kingdom, Jericho attacked Tetsuya Naito at the NJPW New Year’s Dash event, and it’s expected that they will face off at the NJPW Strong Style Evolved event in Long Beach, California in March.
Many people never thought they would see Chris Jericho wrestle inside New Japan Pro Wrestling ring in the year 2018, but he’s teased that he’s sticking around for a while.
Now it seems that another big dream match is being discussed for the first ever WWE Undisputed Champion.
Sports Illustrated is reporting that a match between Chris Jericho and IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada is also being discussed as something that could happen down the line.
Jericho’s match with Kenny Omega at Wrestle Kingdom 12 got a lot of eyes on the product, a fact which Jericho seems to be very proud of, and it seems that the sky is the limit when it comes to his run with NJPW.
