It really is a great time to be a pro wrestling fan. Not only are some of the best performers in the history of wrestling working the indie circuits but some legends of the past generation are still performing at top levels. WWE is full of amazing talent as well while the business continues to evolve.
Chris Jericho is still able to perform at an excellent level but he’s not the only guy in the world performing at the top of their game. All of this started after Jericho asked fans to name a better trio of wrestlers from one city than Kenny Omega, Roddy Piper, and himself.
One fan tweeted out: “just watched #OmegavsOkada3 on AXS TV & it was incredible! Forget Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega is NOW the #BestInTheWorld by far!” It was an interesting way to initiate a response from two pro wrestling stars but Jericho took the bait.
Y2J had a response that was rather interesting, to say the least. In a manner of speaking it was rather insulting to Kenny Omega unless the two are just that close and can speak to each other in such a way.
Best in the world? @KennyOmegamanX isn’t even the best in Winnipeg… #overrated https://t.co/2uXmebv2QI

It certainly sounded like a disparaging comment from Chris Jericho. If the whole “Kenny Omega isn’t even the best in Winnipeg” line wasn’t enough proof, the hashtag “overrated” certainly sounded like it had some pretty negative sentiments attached.
Whether Chris Jericho was joking remains to be seen. But Kenny Omega’s response was certainly an intriguing one as he advised that fans never meet their heroes because you could find out they’re nothing like you’d think. In fact, they could be more like a “corporate stooge.”
Well jeez, what can I say? Never meet your heroes, folks, lest they be a corporate stooge. https://t.co/oGU6R9uCfZ

Don’t you just hate it when two of your favorite pro wrestlers don’t get along? It seems like fans might need to make a decision of alliances soon if this little back and forth is any indication of things.
No matter how full the world is of amazing pro wrestlers there will probably always be room for Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega. Let’s hope this little social media interaction isn’t as bad as it seems, but it doesn’t sound like we’ll be seeing Jericho taking a selfie with The Bullet Club anytime soon.
Save your love, you dumb idiot. I only work in the Big Leagues and I don’t care what #indiefans think…https://t.co/r4v1OmaV0S
