Chris Jericho Abandons AEW Related Trademark

Over the last few months there’s been a lot of talk about Chris Jericho’s future as it’s no big secret that his contract with All Elite Wrestling is set to expire at the end of the year. As the end of 2025 is quickly approaching it’s worth noting that the former AEW World Champion has seemingly abandoned a trademark.

Back in April of 2024, Chris Jericho filed to trademark “The Jericho Vortex.” However, the United States Patent and Trademark Office has ruled that the trademark is now dead and abandoned as of October 2025.

The filing on the USPTO website notes that, “This trademark application was refused, dismissed, or invalidated by the Office and this application is no longer active.”

It was also noted that the trademark had been, “Abandoned because no Statement of Use or Extension Request timely filed after Notice of Allowance was issued.”

Chris Jericho has not appeared on AEW programming since April of this year, and it was recently reported that there’s been no talk of creative plans for Jericho. It’s been rumored for some time now that Jericho could return to WWE once his AEW deal expires, but only time will tell if a return is in the cards.
