Biopics are all the rage right now, and it looks like fans can expect to see a Hulk Hogan movie in the future.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Chris Hemsworth is set to take on the lead role in a Hulk Hogan biopic which will be directed by Todd Phillips. Scott Silver and John Pollono will co-write the movie.
Michael Sugar is set to produce with Chris Hemsworth, Eric Bischoff, Ashley Zalta, Steve Desmond and Michael Sherman attached as co-producers.
It’s also being reported that deals for the project are in the midst of being closed with Netflix. The deal, which includes life rights, took months to put together, and Terry Bollea (Hulk Hogan) will serve as a consultant on the film, as well as an executive producer.
Over the course of his career Hulk Hogan has seen his fair share of ups and downs, and the last few years have featured some controversial moments for the Hulkster.
The report notes that the film won’t be focusing on Hogan’s entire life, but instead the rise of Hogan and Hulkamania.
It’s not clear at this point in time when the film will be released, as it’s said to be in the early stages.
