Charlotte Flair didn’t manage to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship at Hell in a Cell on Sunday night, but she still has big goals for the future. Charlotte has said in the past that she wants to main event WrestleMania someday, and she has a specific opponent in mind.
During a recent interview with Rolling Stone she was asked why she wants to face Ronda Rousey, and she explained that she thinks Charlotte Flair vs. Ronda Rousey just has a WrestleMania feel to it.
“Here’s the thing: With Ronda being part of the division, or her having whatever interest, whether it to be part of the division or as just a fan, it brings more eyes to the women’s division, which I’m all for. Especially with a crossover star like she is. But I mean, would I want to have another fatal four-way with the four horsewomen? That would be at the top of my list. It’s not that she’s my dream opponent, it’s just I want to main event Wrestlemania – and with the proper storyline. I can think me vs. Ronda Rousey has a Wrestlemania feel to it.”
Speaking of MMA, Becky Lynch is currently dating UFC fighter Luke Sanders, and she was asked during an interview with The Sun if she’ll ever pursue MMA, but she made it clear that she’s just not interested.
“My boyfriend is in the UFC (Luke Sanders) and I see the amount of work and dedication it takes him and you have to be really passionate about it. I am a big fan and I really like watching it but that is not where my passion is. My passion is in what we do, and in wrestling. It is in telling stories and in acting and that is where I want to put all my energy. There is something in me that just always has to perform. I said as a little kid that I would love to be an actor and then I found wrestling, or wrestling found me, and it was love at first sight.”
