Everyone got really worried when Charlotte Flair needed to be pulled from the WWE Mixed Match Challenge and to a lesser extent when she needed to be pulled from her match against Natalya on SmackDown Live. After all, we’ve seen The Queen Of Harts and The Queen battle plenty of times before. Regardless, reports of an injury really scared fans who couldn’t wait to see The Nature Girl lock up with Asuka at the Show Of Shows.
But when these reports of an injury were narrowed down to a problem with her teeth, a lot of fans breathed a huge sigh of relief. However, it turns out that Flair’s issues with her mouth aren’t anything new.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports Charlotte Flair was pulled from her scheduled matches this week because she still had two black eyes from the surgery so the decision was made to take her out of the matches. But it worked out well for her where the WWE MMC is concerned because her bestie Becky Lynch won the fan vote and went on to assist Bobby Roode in picking up the win for the Robe Warriors team.
Apparently, Flair’s mouth problems date back to an injury she sustained during a cheerleading accident when she was younger. There was another problem about six months ago and she had a broken jaw as well. Flair’s mouth also recently became infected which required the surgery.
Therefore, Flair was given the weekend off last week so she could rest up but obviously, it wasn’t enough time for her to get fully healed up so WWE gave her Tuesday off as well.
There is no plan for Flair to be replaced during her WrestleMania match against Asuka so you don’t have to worry about that. This is just another issue Charlotte is dealing with and it doesn’t sound like it’s the first time she’s experienced some kind of an issue due to her pearly whites. It would be nice if it were the last issue she has in the same department though.
