Charlotte Flair Injured And Pulled From Upcoming Matches (UPDATED)

WWE’s Road To WrestleMania has been a very interesting one this year. They’ve dodged several bullets along the way which could have turned the Show Of Shows into a tragedy in more ways than one. But in recent days it seems that they have been dealt a couple big blows that could go on to change the event in a significant way.

AJ Styles looks to be okay after an injury scare and Roman Reigns is still in the clear in regards to Jon Bravo’s documentary which promised to link him to accused and convicted steroid dealer Richard Rodriguez.

But now it seems SmackDown Live could have experienced another loss other than Shane McMahon and it could be just as big of a hit.

WWE announced Charlotte Flair is injured and will not be able to compete alongside Bobby Roode in the Mixed Match Challenge. A replacement will need to be made for The Nature Girl, but the loss of Flair could mean a lot more to the overall picture of WWE.

Charlotte Flair was set to do battle with Natalya once more on SmackDown Live this week but that match is off too because it was pulled from WWE’s website. It’s unclear exactly what kind of injury Flair has at this point, or if the injury is legitimate, but hopefully, it won’t be enough to change her planned match against Asuka at WrestleMania 34.

It would be nice if things aren’t that bad for Charlotte Flair so we’ll just have to cross our fingers. But it’s never a good sign when someone is pulled from any form of competition.

We will keep you up to date on this story as more information becomes available but it might be a safe bet to assume they’re scurrying around pretty fast in the writer’s room backstage at SmackDown Live.

Update: The Wrestling Observer website reports that Charlotte was only pulled from these matches due to a dental surgery. She had a mouth infection and underwent minor dental surgery on Wednesday. This procedure was enough to pull Flair from her upcoming matches, but it won’t be enough for her to miss the Show Of Shows, which is a real relief.
