The WWE Royal Rumble Kickoff Show kicked off in a big way, as the show featured an interesting title match. Charlotte Flair and Asuka defended the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles against Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler, and in the end it was Jax and Baszler who walked out with the gold.
Near the end of the match Charlotte hit Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler with a moonsault from the top to the outside, then she threw Baszler back in the ring. That’s when Ric Flair’s music hit. He entered the arena, then Shayna Baszler rolled Charlotte up while she was distracted.
Charlotte kicked out, and Lacey Evans got on the ring apron to distract Charlotte.
The Queen started battling Baszler and put her in the Figure 8, but Lacey Evans punched Charlotte in the face with what appeared to be brass knuckles that Ric Flair handed her. Nia Jax then followed up with a leg drop to win the belts.
