American Alpha were Smackdown Tag Team Champions for a few months and had impressive matches throughout their reign, but for some reason, the insanely talented tag team never quite garnered the same popularity they had while in NXT. When The Usos snatched the Smackdown Tag Team Championships from American Alpha at the 3/21 Smackdown Live broadcast, it was a rather shocking creative move.
It was noted in the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter this title change most likely points toward a return match at WrestleMania. Therefore, it looks like The Usos #UsosWrestleMania campaign is going to be effective after all.
This match is likely just going to be a two-on-two encounter because there are so many other multi-entity matches on the card. So many matches with multiple people were added to WrestleMania in order to get as many stars on the card as possible, which is understandable.
However, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter went on to speculate that the Broken Hardys could possibly return, as it would explain the recent Smackdown Tag Team Title change coming out of nowhere.
The Broken Hardys are looking to fulfill all of their independent dates through April, but WWE officials have let people finish up indie dates in the past when they sign deals with the company. WWE has contracts on the table for the Hardys, therefore that means they have passed the physical exams and barring any unforeseen circumstances, they will be ready to go as soon as the ink is dried on the contract if they do indeed sign.
