A few weeks ago the Wrestling Observer Newsletter was reporting that current GFW announcer Chael Sonnen would be meeting with Michael Cole at the SmackDown tapings in Portland, Oregon. The meeting was reportedly being setup by Gerald Brisco and WWE’s Senior Director of Talent Development Canyon Ceman. Sonnen was indeed spotted at the tapings which only adds to speculation that a meeting with Michael Cole was his reason for being there.
