Cesaro has been on a major roll over the last few weeks, and there’s no denying that he was able to pick up some momentum heading into the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.
Obviously Cesaro has his fans, and there were a number of people hoping to see him win the big one on Sunday night, but it didn’t happen as he was eliminated by Jey Uso.
After the pay-per-view on Sunday night Cesaro took to social media to thank his supporters when he posted the following:
“I’ve been driving for an hour in silence. I don’t really know what to say. So close. Thanks to everyone who believed and still does. I still do. I appreciate you. Always”
In the end it was Daniel Bryan who won the match, and he went on to face Roman Reigns immediately after. Reigns made short work of Daniel Bryan when he put him away with the Guillotine.
