Last week the wrestling world lost another legend as Hulk Hogan passed away on Thursday, July 24th at the age of 71. Hogan’s death has affected many in the wrestling community, and now more details regarding his passing have been confirmed.
Page Six is reporting that Hulk Hogan died from acute myocardial infarction, otherwise known as a heart attack, per the Pinellas County Forensic Science Center.
According to the documents obtained by Page Six, Hulk Hogan had a history of atrial fibrillation, which is a heart condition that causes irregular and often rapid heart rate. The records also show Hogan leukemia CLL, a type of cancer that affects white blood cells. It was noted that Hogan’s battle with cancer did not appear to be public knowledge. The death was ruled natural and the The Pinellas County Forensic Science Center confirmed that they have received a request for cremation.
Following Hulk Hogan’s death a number of notable personalities from the wrestling industry took to social media to pay tribute to the former WWE Champion. WWE also honored Hogan with tributes on SmackDown, Raw and NXT.
