Carlito has been in the professional wrestling business for a long time and he’s added a new chapter to his career ever since he returned to WWE a few years ago. The WWE Raw star has confirmed that he has at least a few more years left in the ring, but we all know that no one can wrestle forever.
Recently Carlito spoke to Chris Van Vliet about his ideal situation for a potential retirement match, and he named Dominik Mysterio as a potential opponent.
“You know, I haven’t thought that far ahead. You know what it’d probably be? It’d be a hair match, like hair vs something, hair vs mustache against Dominik [Mysterio]. Yeah, and then maybe I’ll get my head shaved and ride off into the sunset.”
Fans waited a long time for Carlito to return to WWE, and the wrestling landscape changed a lot while he was gone. The former WWE United States Champion was asked about AEW, and he explained why he didn’t pursue a spot on the roster.
“I have a thing with loyalty. I’ve only ever been a WWE guy, I always kind of liked it, being a one company guy. As long as they’ll have me, I think I’ll always try to stay loyal to WWE as long as I could. And honestly, I’d like to end my career with them.”
