Earlier this year at the Backlash premium live event Carlito made his surprise return and it was reported over the summer that he had signed a new deal. Carlito returned once again at Fastlane earlier this month and now he’s part of the SmackDown roster.
When Carlito returned at Fastlane he came back with a new entrance song, but Carlito explained on the Cheap Heat podcast that he wasn’t crazy about changing the song in the first place.
“They ran it by me, they wanted to change it, I wasn’t crazy about changing it. I, like everyone else, wanted to keep it. I liked it the way it was.”
In addition to his new theme song the former Intercontinental Champion also explained that fans will be getting a different version of Carlito this time around.
“It’s a little different, I wanted to do something a little different, it’s been so much time you’ve got to change with the times. So, I wanted to kind of keep the cool going but just come out with something new.”
