It seems that every year Carlito is rumored for the 30 man Royal Rumble match, and this year he actually made his return when he entered the Royal Rumble at number 8.
Carlito was back in the ring the next night on Raw when he teamed up with Jeff Hardy to face the team of Elias and Jaxson Ryker.
It looks like the former Intercontinental Champion may not be done with WWE, as PWInsider is reporting that the word going around backstage is that Carlito might be in line to tryout for a backstage role as a Producer in WWE.
It’s worth noting that after MVP returned at the Royal Rumble last year he took on a backstage role working as a Producer, and he later became a regular once again on WWE programming, so it will be interesting to see where Carlito goes from here.
