Wrestling isn’t ballet, and unfortunately talents get hurt from time to time, and sometimes injuries lead to moves getting banned.
The buckle bomb has been tied to a few injuries in WWE over the years, and it was recently reported that the company has added the buckle bomb to the banned moves list.
WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray reacted to WWE banning the move on Busted Open Radio, and he noted that he agrees with WWE trying to protect their talent.
“Do I agree with a move being banned? I’m not quite sure. What I do agree with is the WWE is trying to protect their talent, that’s what I agree with. Because whether it’s somebody giving it or taking it, enough things have gone wrong with this move, it doesn’t matter who we point the finger of blame on…right off the bat, the chances for something to go wrong are very high.”
“The person doing it is not going to throw from the exact some spot every single time, the person taking it is not going to land the exact same way every single time.”
