Months ago it was announced that Jon Moxley would be taking a hiatus from professional wrestling to enter an alcohol treatment program, and last week the former AEW World Champion returned during Dynamite.
Moxley told the world that he “beat the s**t” out of his demons, and the fans made it clear that they were happy to have him back. However, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray later got the wrestling world talking when he said that he thinks Jon Moxley should have taken more accountability and apologized to the fans.
Bully’s opinion was not well received, and he not only faced backlash from fans, but also from names like Moxley’s wife Renee Paquette and Paige.
Over the weekend Jon Moxley defended the GCW World Championship against Homicide during the Wrld On GCW event, and fans started chanting “f**k Bully Ray” while the match was taking place.
Bully Ray reacted to the chants by saying that they were music to his ears when he posted the following:
“I knew my GCW faithful fans in NYC would never let me down. Especially in MY building. Music to my ears!!”
