All Elite Wrestling has shaken up the world of professional wrestling a big way ever since the company was officially announced earlier this year, but one former WCW star says he doesn’t “get it.”
Buff Bagwell recently joined the WINCLY podcast and explained why AEW isn’t an option for him.
“At my age, [WWE is the only option], because these other boys are for the young kids and unfortunately, they don’t get it. Nobody knows them. I’m in the industry and don’t know them,” Bagwell said while referencing Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks. “So, if I don’t know them, y’all don’t know them. So I don’t get it.”
Bagwell also commented on his brief run with WWE, and claimed that people were worried he was going to take their job.
“It wasn’t my fault that I was 30 and when I joined the WWF and I was going to take somebody’s job. Every single star, when I signed, was 12 years older than me…. It wasn’t my fault, but I sure as heck paid for it.”
Fans who are in the Griffin, GA area can catch Buff Bagwell’s stand up comedy show at Doc Holliday’s Saloon on Thursday, March 28. Tickets can be purchased here.
