Over the last few weeks Roman Reigns has been trying to uncover the identity of his mystery attacker, and his search for answers led him right to Buddy Murphy.
Roman Reigns got physical with Murphy when he interrogated him last week on SmackDown Live, and on Tuesday night they faced off in the ring.
When Roman was first attacked backstage during the forklift angle a few weeks ago, fans noted that Buddy Murphy could be seen in the background, which led to speculation that he may be involved.
Bryan Alvarez noted on Wrestling Observer Live that Buddy Murphy appeared in the shot by accident, as he wasn’t originally supposed to be there, and WWE ended up adding Buddy Murphy to the main event storyline due to the fan speculation online.
Roman Reigns picked up the win over Murphy on Tuesday, but he has been receiving a lot of praise online as of late.
