Bryan Danielson Turns Heel, Mentions WrestleMania On AEW Dynamite

The AEW Full Gear pay-per-view aired live on Saturday night, and the show featured a huge main event which saw Adam Page defeat Kenny Omega to become the new AEW World Champion. Bryan Danielson also had a big night as he earned a shot at the title when he defeated Miro to win the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament.

During this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite the new AEW World Champion made his way down to the ring for a celebration, and the fans in Virginia made it clear that they were happy to see him. Unfortunately for Adam Page his celebration was interrupted when Bryan Danielson entered the arena and got on the mic.

Bryan congratulated “Hangman” Adam Page, and then they shook hands. He said he’s super excited for the AEW World Title match, but he’s disappointed that he’s not facing Kenny Omega. Bryan said he didn’t come out to start beef, and the fans booed him. He continued to take shots at Adam Page and said that apparently “Cowboy s**t” doesn’t involve wrestling. Danielson said that after he won the world championship at WrestleMania he wrestled the very next day.

The fans in Virginia booed Bryan heavily, and Page told him he doesn’t see why they can’t wrestle for the title tonight. The fans chanted “yes.” Bryan backed out and said that normally he would be up for it, but Page isn’t in his ring gear. He said he didn’t want to beat Page for the belt when he’s not ready.

Bryan and Page started shoving each other but The Dark Order broke it up. Danielson continued to taunt Page as fans chanted “let them fight” and they started brawling before getting pulled apart again.

After the break Bryan Danielson faced off against Evil Uno in a singles match and put him away with the triangle sleeper. After the ref called for the bell he continued to apply the hold for a few seconds before getting up.

Tony Schiavone then tried to interview him after the match, and the fans booed as Bryan grabbed the mic out of Tony’s hand. He said that he doesn’t know when he will be getting his title match, but until he faces Page he will be kicking in the head of every Dark Order member. Bryan challenged Colt Cabana to a match in Chicago next week.
