The wrestling landscape has changed quite a bit over the last few years and quite a few former WWE stars have made the jump to All Elite Wrestling. Bryan Danielson made the jump to AEW in 2021, but it sounds like he was keeping an eye on the company long before that.
Danielson recently spoke to Bloomberg and he revealed that when he was on paternity leave in 2020 Vince McMahon called him and asked, “Do you see anything that AEW’s doing better than us?”
According to Bryan Danielson he spent two weeks watching AEW programming and noted that AEW, “committed more time to and placed more value on the craft of fighting in the ring.” While talked about WWE”s product Danielson told Vince McMahon, “It feels like you’re watching a wrestling show without any wrestling.”
Bryan Danielson last wrestled for WWE during the April 30, 2021 episode of Friday Night SmackDown. He is currently one of the top stars in AEW and he’s set to challenge MJF for the AEW World Championship at the upcoming Revolution pay-per-view. Stay tuned for updates.
