Bryan Danielson Possibly Undergoing Neck Surgery Later This Year

Bryan Danielson made the jump to All Elite Wrestling back in 2021 and since then he’s been featured as one of the top stars in the company. However, it’s no big secret that Bryan’s career is winding down as he’s declared that 2024 will be his last year as a full-time wrestler.

Currently Bryan Danielson is heading into one of the biggest matches of his career as he’s set to challenge Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Championship at All In later this month. Recently Bryan announced that he will never wrestle again if he is defeated by Swerve.

During an interview with Jim Ross that aired on Saturday night’s episode of AEW Collision, Bryan Danielson talked about his future, and he indicated that he could be getting neck surgery before 2024 is through.

“Even the way I’m feeling now…I mean, the odds are I’m gonna have to get neck surgery before the end of this year. That’s the reality of it. That’s something that I’ve accepted is coming down the pike relatively soon.”

Bryan Danielson’s history with his neck issues have been well documented as the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion was forced to retire in 2015, but later returned to the ring in 2018.
