Bruce Prichard Explains Why He Doesn’t Think The Undertaker Is Retiring For Good

In case you haven’t heard, a WWE ring is Roman Reigns’ yard now. It doesn’t have quite the impact as it does when preceded by ten minutes of boos and “F—- you Roman” chants, but it’s true. Roman Reigns beat The Undertaker at WrestleMania 33 and Taker left with his iconic gloves, coat, and hat in the middle of the ring. He received a thunderous applause, and WWE set fire to the entrance set. The ring crew even left The Undertaker’s attire where it was and broke the ring down around it.

Even though Vince McMahon himself alluded to the fact we’ve seen the last of The Undertaker and so have countless others, there are some who think The Undertaker isn’t going away for good. X-Pac is one of those people. Now another highly respected name in pro wrestling is weighing in on the subject and he happens to be of minority thought as well.

On a recent episode of “Something To Wrestle With Bruce Prichard,” Condrad Thompson and Prichard spoke about The Undertaker. In the beginning of the discussion, Bruce Prichard says although he thought Taker’s last match was apropos and he cried “like a b—-“,  he doesn’t think we’ve seen the last of The Undertaker at all

“It was a nice ending of a chapter if you ask me, ” Prichard said. “But I don’t think it’s over.” When Conrad called Bruce out on whether he thought The Undertaker would come back Prichard responded, “eventually, yes I do.”

Bruce elaborated by explaining, “I’m saying short of being wheeled down to the ring in a wheelchair, that we’ve not seen the last of The Undertaker in the ring. Now he would argue with me on that and say ‘no, that’s it.’ But you never say never in this business. And The Undertaker and that character will live on forever and I think that he could still go out and have a match. It may not be what it was 25 years ago, but by god, he’ll go out and the people will be behind him just as much as they ever were.”

So there you have it. Add one more person to the list of people who think that once The Undertaker is fully healed from his reported hip replacement surgery, he’ll be back. But in the meantime just in case The Undertaker really has taken his last ride, it’s a good idea to get one of those sweet “Thank You Taker” shirts WWE is selling.
