Brooke Hogan hasn’t been seen in a wrestling ring in a long time. Her most recently memorable moment was that wedding ceremony between herself and Bully Ray on TNA. But that was in 2013. Although Brooke Hogan hasn’t been on the wrestling fans’ radar, she’s still been plenty busy. Hogan has been modeling, appearing in movies, and now she’s making another go at reality TV.
She’s been modeling and has acted in a few low-budget movies like Vengeance Wears A Skirt, School Of The Dead, and LA Slasher, ‘memba those?
Now Hulk Hogan’s daughter is appearing in a new reality TV show about plus-sized models. Hogan’s new reality show is called, “The Fashion Hero” and will focus on women who don’t fit the mold of being skinny models. The show is shooting an eight-episode season and has been picked up in Asia and Venezuela.
The reality TV show is Canadian-produced, and although they have the star power of Hogan behind it they have yet to land a distribution deal stateside. Brooke Hogan is still known in American media and remembered from her time on VH1’s “Hogan Knows Best.” But we’ll have to see if someone’s willing to take a chance to see if American audiences will watch her in a new reality TV show.
Some of WWE’s biggest prospects from the indie scene are Bobby Fish, Kyle O’Reilly, and Adam Cole. But, they have yet to sign a deal with WWE or NXT at this point. Instead, Bobby Fish has been working a lot of ROH shows. But according to The Observer, Bobby Fish doesn’t want to sign a new deal with Ring Of Honor because because he doesn’t want to get locked out of an offer from WWE. This seems to be a growing trend.
Former ROH Champion Kyle O’Reilly has been spending much of his time in MLW recently. But he hasn’t been doing a whole lot of winning. Instead, he’s been putting a lot of talent over while he’s been there. He didn’t sign a new deal with ROH when his contract expired because the thinking was he’d be in NXT sooner than later. According to reports, a contract from WWE hasn’t been offered to him due to legal threats from ROH.
Adam Cole’s deal with ROH is up on April 30th. But, he’s not expected to sign a deal with WWE immediately. Instead, the three-time ROH Champion is reportedly going to sign a short term non-exclusive deal with possibly ROH and New Japan that would allow him to work indie dates as well. He doesn’t want to be tied down to a long-term contract either just in case WWE offers him something. New Japan is also wanting to sign on some more American talents to boost the company’s appeal in the United States. So New Japan could always be in the cards for Cole they could make him an offer he can’t refuse.
