You never know what might happen at the Survivor Series premium live event, and so far this year it’s been eventful to say the least. The show kicked off with Team Rhea defeating Team Liv in the first WarGames match, then the action continued with Shinsuke Nakamura defeating LA Knight to become the new WWE United States Champion.
In the third match of the night Bron Breakker defended his WWE Intercontinental Championship against Sheamus and Ludwig Kaiser in a triple threat match. The match was action packed from bell to bell and the fans showed their support for the champion by chanting “let’s go Breakker!”
At one point Kaiser and Sheamus were exchanging strikes at the announce table and Breakker sent them both over the table as he connected with a running clothesline. Sheamus made a comeback and jumped off the barricade to take Kaiser and Breakker out with a double clothesline. The Celtic Warrior rolled Kaiser into the ring, but Kaiser rolled out then grabbed Sheamus’ shillelagh. Sheamus went after him, grabbed the shillelagh, then hit him with it to send him over the barricade.
Back in the ring Sheamus faced off with Breakker. Sheamus hit Breakker with the Celtic Cross off the top rope only for Breakker to kick out. Bron Breakker went for a spear, but Sheamus dodged it, so Breakker ran head first into a chair that was set up in the corner. Sheamus followed up with the Brogue Kick and went for the pin. Ludwig Kaiser broke up the pin then hit Sheamus with the shillelagh.
Sheamus hit Kaiser with a knee to the face inside the ring then fell on him. The ref counted the pin as Kaiser kicked out at two. Kaiser hit a DDT on Sheamus then Breakker hit Kaiser with a spear immediately after.
Bron Breakker waited for Sheamus to get up as he put The Celtic Warrior away with a spear to retain the title.
