WrestleMania season is just about to kick off with the Royal Rumble tonight, but it looks like at least one big name will not be part of the event this year.
There’s been a lot of speculation regarding Brock Lesnar’s status for the Royal Rumble and PWInsider is reporting that The Beast had not traveled to Florida for the Royal Rumble. The word making the rounds at Friday Night SmackDown this week was that Brock Lesnar would not be at the Royal Rumble premium live event.
One source used the word “withdrawn” when referring to Brock Lesnar’s status for the Royal Rumble. The belief is that a talent from NXT will be used in place of Brock Lesnar during the 30 man Royal Rumble match tonight.
It had been rumored in recent weeks that Brock Lesnar would be making his return soon, but there’s currently no word on whether or not there are plans for Brock to return to WWE programming in the future.
